IntroductionGilbert brings huge experience to any project in understanding and implementing the needs of integration of fire systems with other building and tunnel systems, through his detailed knowledge of not only fire but Mechanical and Electrical Building services.
He has significant experience in fire protection and detection systems and has a detailed knowledge of appropriate systems and where specialist detection and suppression systems add value to any project. Gilbert has been involved with many tunnel and infrastructure projects within New Zealand and Australia. He is the adviser to Meridian and Genesis on most of their power station upgrading relating to fire strategy, risk studies, and implementation of fire safety upgrading across multiple power stations. He has a particular interest in the life safety aspects relating to transformers and performance based life safety holistic solutions in the power industry. Gilbert has been extensively involved with many significant buildings for the Christchurch Earthquake rebuild, especially with respect to providing fire protection specifications and construction monitoring of fire strategy compliance and building signoff. |
